Here are two very interesting videos from The Bible Project – one on King David himself (“the priestly king”) and one on the importance of the Temple – both immediately relevant to our current readings in 1 Chronicles. Note especially that both of them begin at the beginning: the significance of David and of the Temple is tied up with God’s purposes in creation.
