Men Cook: February 18, 6:00 PM. The theme this year will be “The Taste of New Orleans. The cost is $25 and it is BYOB. Babysitting will be available for $5.00 per child and includes pizza and drinks. The sign-up sheet is in the dining hall. This is an Annual Event at St. George’s and it is filled with lots of great food, fun and fellowship. Youth Group Pancake Breakfast, February 19: During the 10:00 coffee hour. The Youth Group's Annual Pancake Breakfast. Menu includes: pancakes with powdered sugar and toppings, scrambled eggs with or without cheese, bacon, sausage, milk, oj, tea, and coffee. We request a $5 per person donation (children 3 and under are free) ... but we don't want anyone to go hungry, so pay what you can.
Shrove Tuesday, February 21, 5:00PM-7:00 PM: Bring your own pancakes, bacon, sausage, drinks, and join us for Shrove Tuesday. The kitchen will be open and ready for you to enjoy your "breakfast for dinner" at St. George's. There is no sign-up sheet. Just show up and cook with us!
Quiet Day: Saturday, February 25, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Fr. Ryan will lead Quiet Day on Saturday, February 25, 9:00-12:00. For those who so desire, there will be a light breakfast at 8:30am, preceding the Quiet Day. We will need volunteers to bring "coffee hour type" snacks, so please email Julie at geonevil@comcast.net to let know what you will be donating. Quiet Day will include Morning Prayer and Noon Day Prayer with periods of contemplative meditations and silence. All are invited.
Cereal Collection for the Ardmore Pantry: February 12-26. Donate boxes of Cherrios, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes and Raisin Bran to the St. Mary’s, Ardmore Pantry.
Outreach, Aid for Friends, March 11: Looking for culinary food donations for the next Aid For Friends Cook-In. The menu will include: meat loaf, noodles, green beans, roll, fruit cup and desert. Please check out the sign-up sheet on the Outreach bulletin board to see what you can donate. All donations need to be in the kitchen on March 11 by 11:30 AM.
Wednesday Night and Sunday Morning Bible Study: The Wednesday series will start meeting again on January 11 at 7:00 PM. The new Sunday morning classes, Sunday Forum, are held every Sunday morning, 9:00 AM- 9:40 AM in Fr. Ryan's office. Click on CHRISTIAN EDUCATION tab on the top of this page for all the details.
