Adult Christian Education

Wednesday Nights, 7:00pm

Wednesday night means fellowship and Christian learning at St. George's. Whether you come for only one night a month or for every class in each series, you will leave having learned something new about the faith, made close friendships through prayer, study, and sharing, and enhanced your depth of understanding about the Holy Scriptures and the traditions of the Church.  Never let the cost of the book we're studying prohibit you from coming!!!!  Speak privately with Fr. Ryan and a copy will be made available to you.

Current Wednesday Night Class

 Beginning Wednesday, January 11!

A discussion on the novel,

Lamb

Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff,
Christ's Childhood Pal
by: Christopher Moore

Christopher Moore is a popular satircal novelist and in this perennial favorite, he tackles the Gospel characters.  What ensues is an hilarious (yet, reverent) adventure of the teenaged and 20-something Josh (Jesus) through all the dangerous ins and outs of the Roman-occupied Galilee, friendship, unrequited love, danger, wisdom and learning, and eventually the coming to grips with a messianic self-identity.

We encourage you to procure your copy of the book yourself and even to begin reading!  As always, if you would be prevented from joining this class because of finances, speak to Fr. Ryan and a copy will be made available for you, free of charge.  For the reading schedule, please try to have read the chapters assigned for that day PRIOR to coming to class.

Reading Schedule

Jan. 18 - Chapters 5 - 8
Jan. 25 - Chapters 9 - 16
