Lay Ministries for Member Incorporation

Floral Ministry

A new floral ministry was established at St. George’s in September 2001. Since that time, flowers have been arranged by parishioner volunteers, rather than by a florist as in the past. Volunteers make floral arrangements for the main altar, St. George’s Chapel, and, occasionally, the Lady Chapel. These volunteers are completely separate from the people donating money to the Flower Fund to remember their loved ones. Details regarding types of arrangements, scheduling and other pertinent information are discussed among the volunteers.

If you would like to donate money in memory of loved ones, or to mark a special occasion, please sign up on the calendar outside the parish office. Signing up for memorial flowers does not mean you have to make the arrangement, it means only that you are making a donation to the Flower Fund on that particular date to place flowers on any of the three altars. The flowers will then be arranged by the volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer to arrange flowers or require any information, please speak with Susan LaBrake.
