SUPPORT OUR MISSION TRIP TO NEW
ORLEANS
January 21-27, 2008
The need for help in rebuilding lives and homes in New Orleans
continues—and will continue for many years to come. The
Free Church of the Annunciation established the Resurrection House
Program to rebuild homes in their area of New Orleans. The second
floor of the Parish House was transformed into a dormitory to
house volunteers. During his visit to St. George’s last
April Father Kramer told us the reclamation of New Orleans’
neighborhoods will take years, and many volunteers and funds are
needed. For additional information, log on to www.resurrectionhouseofneworleans.org.
St. George’s Outreach Committee asked for volunteers to
participate in a mission trip to New Orleans on January 21 through
January 27. Nine parishioners, led by Eileen Kammerer, have responded.
These volunteers will supply their own airfare plus room and board
at Resurrection House.
For those unable to make the trip but who want to help, the committee
is asking for monetary donations to purchase Lowe’s
gift cards and to cover the expense of a rental van for the team’s
use while in New Orleans. Contributions can be left in the red
"brick" box on the round table in Jerusalem Hall. Please
also support our Team St. George through your prayers for their
safety.
